This, that and the other thing
Random thoughts at the start of the holiday weekend:
- Does the Boston Fire Department know that BU dorms now have 16 electric outlets per room? We weren't allow to plug in a water-warming coil.
- Sen./Lt. Col. Scott Brown is back from a week in Afghanistan and says we should stay the course, particularly in rebuilding that nation's infrastructure. But if he's concerned about the jobs picture here, why don't he and fellow Republicans think we should spend those billions on our own citizens?
- Tell me again how Dick Armey and the Koch brothers represent a grassroots political movement?
- Is today's Republican Party a direct descendant of the Know-Nothing Party?
- Why is it that an Ohio woman guilty of falsifying records to get her child into a better school has served more jail time than most of the Wall Street miscreants who brought down our economy?
- Wonder how much attorney Bruce Bennett charged the Los Angeles Dodgers for his New York Times interview on his rates?

Did Scott Brown ask to do his active duty in Afghanistan so he could release a picture of himself arriving home in fatigues, the returning warrior, fresh from handling the legal matters of real soldiers in advance of his campaign for reelection?
